Changpeng Zhao (CZ) ranks 21st on Forbes billionaires list with a net worth of $89.7 billion. The entrepreneur expressed skepticism about the accuracy of these figures.

*“I don’t consider these numbers to be accurate (they are significantly inflated). Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter. What’s important is how many people we can assist,”* he stated.

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index places CZ at 26th, estimating his wealth at $63.8 billion. Experts report that since the beginning of the year, Zhao’s portfolio has grown by $10.5 billion.

This increase has been driven by the rise of Binance’s native coin, BNB. According to a *Forbes* report from June 2024, the founder of the world’s largest exchange owns 64% of the total cryptocurrency supply (89.1 million tokens). CZ previously confirmed that 98% of his wealth is derived from BNB, and 1.32% from Bitcoin.

On October 6, the cryptocurrency associated with Binance surpassed the $1200 mark for the first time ever. At the time of writing, BNB is trading at $1250, having increased by 3% in the past day.

A user named Quinten labeled Forbes’ evaluation as “conservative.” He pointed out Zhao’s 90% stake in Binance and significant holdings in BNB and Bitcoin.

*“You know better than I do, but from an outside perspective, the number seems plausible, if not understated,”* he emphasized.

Another user under the handle Dynamo ironically noted:

In March 2024, Zhao announced the launch of the Giggle Academy, an educational platform aimed at providing free education from grades one through twelve.

In April 2025, CZ donated 500 BNB (around $600,000) to users in Myanmar and Thailand who were affected by an earthquake.

It is worth noting that in July, the Binance founder supported Vitalik Buterin’s biotechnology project with a $10 million contribution. At that time, Zhao also made several private donations to support various charitable initiatives.
