Chesnokov: Andreyeva Falls to Anisimova, Who Has Top-10 Potential

The former world No. 9 in singles, **[Andrei Chesnokov](https://www.championat.com)**, shared his thoughts on the defeat of 17-year-old Russian tennis player **Mirra Andreyeva** in the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami against American **Amanda Anisimova**.

«Every tennis player aspires to win every match they play, regardless of whether they won the previous tournament. Anisimova is an incredibly talented player who has reached the semifinals of a Grand Slam. Prior to the Miami tournament, she had won another event where she defeated several strong competitors. Amanda is one of the most formidable players ranked around 30-40. Based on her potential, she should be capable of breaking into the top 10. Mirra lost to a player who knows how to compete and can beat anyone. I believe Amanda has a solid chance of winning the tournament in Miami,» Chesnokov remarked in an interview with journalist Vladislav Kruglov.
