Chervichenko: Why Success Triggers a Crisis for Krasnodar

The former president of Moscow’s «Spartak,» **[Andrei Chervichenko](https://example.com)**, shared his thoughts on the performance of «Krasnodar» in the current season of the Russian Premier League.

Chervichenko stated that having a five-point lead will not make it psychologically easier for «Krasnodar.» The team finds it easier to gain momentum when they are catching up to their opponents in the standings, ultimately surpassing them to take the lead. However, when it comes to consolidating their success, the team often seems to struggle.

«If ‘Krasnodar’ holds a two-point lead going into the final round, they’ll somehow manage to let that advantage slip away, along with the championship,» Chervichenko remarked during a conversation with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.

As of now, «Krasnodar» is at the top of the RPL standings for the 2024/2025 season, boasting 52 points. In their next match, Murad Musaev’s team will face St. Petersburg’s «Zenit.» The game is scheduled for April 13, starting at 17:00 Moscow time.
