Celebrate 20 Years of God of War with a New Cosmetic Set in Ragnarök This March

On March 20th, Sony and Santa Monica Studio will delight fans with a cosmetic update for God of War: Ragnarök to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the God of War franchise.

The cosmetic set is tentatively titled after the original God of War and is named Dark Odyssey. All items in this collection are inspired by Kratos’s black-and-gold skin from God of War II, which was unlocked by completing the game on the «God» difficulty level.

After the update is released, players will be able to retrieve the cosmetics from any chest containing lost items. If a new game is started, the collection will automatically be available in the inventory.

In addition to the patch, the development team is preparing several other initiatives to commemorate the series’ anniversary, such as an art exhibition at the Nucleus gallery in Los Angeles, various merchandise sales, and more. Unfortunately, there aren’t any major announcements expected at this time.
