Call for Applications: Join the New Youth Council of the .RU/.РФ Domain Coordination Center for 2025-2026

On July 10, 2025, the Coordination Center for .RU/.РФ domains announced the recruitment for the new Youth Council for the 2025-2026 term. According to the agency, this is a unique chance for young professionals aged between 18 and 35 to participate in shaping the future of the Russian internet and contributing to the development of the national domains .RU/.РФ.

The Youth Council (current members) was established to discuss projects and initiatives aimed at promoting and developing the national domains .RU/.РФ, enhancing their technological infrastructure, and implementing socio-educational projects designed to boost digital literacy among the youth of Runet. It serves to increase the interest of young people in acquiring skills in ICT, as well as in the development and management of the national segment of the internet. Additionally, the council represents the interests of the younger generation of internet users.

Council members actively engage in various events and forums related to internet governance, such as:

— IGF (Internet Governance Forum): A global UN forum for internet governance that gathers representatives from governments, civil society, business, and the technical community to discuss pressing issues and foster collaboration;

— RIGF (Russian Internet Governance Forum): A prominent annual forum dedicated to the regulation and development of the internet in Russia;

— Generation Connect ITU: An international initiative aimed at bringing together the younger generation to discuss and address pertinent issues in the field of ICT (information and communication technologies).

You can submit applications for participation in the Youth Council until August 25. The application process involves filling out a simple form. The results of the application review and selection of new council members will be announced by the end of August, and the new council will commence its activities in September.

The Youth Council operates on a voluntary basis and comprises a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 50 members—representatives of both studying and working youth with skills in ICT, information security, law, economics, psychology, sociology, education, and more. A member of the Youth Council can be a citizen of the Russian Federation aged between 18 and 35, either delegated from youth organizations, industry, and educational institutions, or by self-nomination.
