Binance and Kyrgyzstan Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance Cryptocurrency Ecosystem

A memorandum of understanding was signed during the inaugural meeting of the Council for the Development of Digital Assets, which was attended by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.

One of the primary areas of collaboration will involve implementing cryptocurrency payments via the Binance Pay service, primarily aimed at facilitating transactions for tourists visiting the country. This initiative will also encompass cross-border payments within Central Asia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Binance Academy will take charge of the educational aspect. Plans are underway to launch training programs for government agencies, banks, and a diverse group of citizens to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and risks associated with cryptocurrencies. Special emphasis will be placed on financial literacy and support for the Web 3.0 ecosystem.

It’s worth noting that in April, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao became a consultant for the Kyrgyz government regarding cryptocurrency and blockchain matters. In the same month, Japarov signed amendments to the law on the National Bank, enabling the start of a pilot project for a prototype of a national digital currency.
