Bilateral Drone Strikes Leave at Least Four Civilians Injured in Ongoing Conflict

At least four civilians were reported injured due to drone strikes by both Russian and Ukrainian forces overnight, according to officials from both nations on Wednesday.

This comes just a day after reports indicated that Russian assaults led to the deaths of at least seven civilians and left many others injured across Ukraine, particularly in regions like Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk on Tuesday.

According to governors and emergency services, overnight drone and missile strikes from Russia resulted in three injuries across southern Ukraine’s Odesa region, the eastern Kharkiv region, and the northeastern Sumy region.

The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Russia launched a total of 95 drones and decoys during the night, with 61 of those being intercepted, jammed through electronic warfare, or vanishing from detection. The Russian drones reportedly struck seven undisclosed locations.

In Russia’s Kursk region, bordering Sumy, a 66-year-old woman was hospitalized after Ukrainian drones caused damage to four houses, as reported by acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein via Telegram.

Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that their air defense systems intercepted seven Ukrainian drones overnight, including two within the Kursk region. This marks the second consecutive day of a notable decrease in Ukrainian drone activities, following around 200 reported strikes on Monday.
