Ponomarev highlighted the distinctive aspects of implementing decentralized governance for the project and addressed the challenges associated with the «one token, one vote» principle. He noted that excessive decentralization can compromise efficiency and create opportunities for fraud.

«As a result, after some time, we opted for a somewhat more centralized approach. If you look at the entire history of Everscale’s development, we are constantly searching for a balance between efficiency and decentralization. Our goal is not to elevate decentralization to an untouchable ideal,» stated the CEO of Broxus, one of the leading developers in the Everscale ecosystem.

Ponomarev also spoke about the fundamental ideological differences between Everscale and TON. He pointed out that the project is not solely focused on the Telegram ecosystem but is evolving as a platform designed for high-load applications, with an emphasis on transaction finalization and parallel processing.

«This applies to various cases with microtransactions. […] For instance, in one scenario, we have a team preparing a major project launch on Everscale that involves managing a fragmented IT infrastructure. They have been developing and testing different approaches for over a year,» he mentioned.

Currently, the Everscale DAO ecosystem is advancing through a commitment model, the developer noted. If a project wishes to contribute to the network’s growth and seek funding for initiatives, it must first lock 10% of its EVER tokens in a special account, thereby affirming its serious intentions.
