Artiga Reflects on Khimkis League Standing Amidst Upcoming Changes

The head coach of Khimki, **[Frank Artiga](https://example.com)**, commented on his team’s performance. Earlier today, on April 14th, reports emerged regarding his impending dismissal. Under his guidance, the Moscow region club currently holds the 12th position in the RPL standings, having accumulated 23 points from 24 matches.

**“** This season, there were times when everyone would have agreed to fight for a playoff position. We started poorly, with only one win in 11 matches. However, things improved after that. At the moment, we are not in the relegation zone. We have tough games ahead, but our opponents do too; for instance, Akhmat will be playing in Krasnodar next week. We have home games against Rubin, Rostov, and Akron, plus an away match in Orenburg. In these fixtures, we can aim for positive results. If the players and the club put in their best efforts, four wins would yield a significant number of points. Regardless, changes are necessary. If we don’t adapt, we shouldn’t be surprised by the outcomes,**” Artiga stated, as quoted by Khimki’s press service.

It was previously reported that the announcement of the Spanish coach’s departure would be made today. He is expected to be replaced by Magomed Adiev, who will sign a contract with the club until the end of the current season.
