Anticipation Grows for March Announcement of God of War Original Trilogy Remasters

Rumors about remasters of the classic God of War titles have been circulating for quite some time now. Recently, insider Jeff Grubb hinted at an upcoming announcement, suggesting that a reveal of the revamped trilogy could take place around March 22, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the original God of War.

Interestingly, Sony has yet to plan any events to commemorate this significant occasion. In addition to the remasters, fans are also eagerly anticipating news about the next installment in the series, with some details already suggested by two credible sources.

At the end of January, insider Daniel Richtman, known for providing reliable information about Marvel and DC projects, claimed that the setting for the next God of War game would be Egypt. This assertion was based on job postings from Santa Monica Studio, where the developers were reportedly looking for actors of Middle Eastern descent for a certain AAA title.

Later, Tom Henderson challenged Richtman’s theory, stating that the next God of War would actually be a prequel that takes players back to ancient Greece, focusing on Kratos’s youth. The storyline is reportedly centered around Kratos’s relationship with his father, likely his adoptive father, as at that time he was unaware of being Zeus’s son.

For now, players can only wait for official announcements.
