The Russian women’s fencing team triumphed over China in the Round of 16 at the 2025 World Championship in Tbilisi, Georgia, winning with a score of 45-31. The Russian sabre fencers claimed victory in seven out of nine bouts, with one match ending in a tie and another resulting in a loss.

In the quarterfinals, the Russian team will face the Israeli squad.

Previously, the Russian men’s sabre team was defeated by South Korea in the Round of 16 at the 2025 World Championship in Tbilisi, tallying a score of 33-45. Out of nine matches, the Russian fencers managed to win only two.
