Bettering the Ring: Beterbiev Calls Out Bivol for a Long-Awaited Trilogy

The former undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division (up to 79.4 kg) from Russia, Artur Beterbiev, has once again expressed that his compatriot Dmitry Bivol‘s team is postponing the organization of their trilogy.

«Some promised to fight, but… they come up with all sorts of excuses just to avoid it. I will definitely make a post; it’s not my fault, and it’s not Umar’s fault that the fight isn’t happening in Russia. You understand whose fault it is,» Beterbiev stated in an interview with Umar Kremlov.

The initial match between Bivol and Beterbiev took place in October 2024, resulting in a victory for the latter by majority decision. The rematch occurred in February, where Bivol emerged victorious by majority decision this time.
