Andreeva and Schneider Secure Convincing Victory in Wimbledon 2025 Doubles Debut

Silver medalists of the 2024 Olympics, Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider, have made a strong start in the women’s doubles at Wimbledon 2025.

In their first-round match, the fifth-seeded duo of Andreeva and Schneider defeated the British team of Emily Appleton and Heather Watson (WC) with a score of 6-3, 6-4. The match lasted for 1 hour and 19 minutes. During the contest, the Russians delivered two aces, committed no double faults, and converted 2 out of 12 break points. Meanwhile, their British opponents registered no aces, four double faults, and failed to capitalize on two break points.

Next up for the Russian pair at Wimbledon 2025 will be the duo of Quinn Gleeson (USA) and Ingrid Gamarra-Martins (Brazil).

It’s worth noting that Mirra Andreeva continues her campaign in the singles draw at Wimbledon, having advanced to the third round, while Diana Schneider was eliminated in the second round.
