Applications Open for International Programming Championship RuCode on State Services Platform

The official government services website has opened the submission of applications for participation in the international programming championship «RuCode.» This competition focuses on solving algorithmic problems through coding and involves contestants from over 10 countries. There will be 40 in-person venues across Russia and friendly nations.

The qualifying round will take place online in July and August 2025, and anyone can participate. Contestants will compete individually in this stage. To register, participants must create a personal account, complete tasks, and choose a division. The final event is scheduled for September 2025 and will be held in person at universities in Russia, BRICS countries, the CIS, and other allied nations.

To qualify for the final, participants must either complete the qualifying round or qualify through a quota. The final will be a team event, and teams must be formed prior to the finals, with a maximum of three members. Even those who wish to compete solo can form a team.

Programming is permitted in C, C++, Python, Java, Kotlin, and Rust. The championship is divided into divisions: A-B for experienced participants, C-D for those who have mastered the basics, and E-F for beginners. Participants will select their division upon registration, and recommendations will be provided after the qualifying tasks are completed. Once chosen, the division cannot be changed. If a contestant does not qualify for A-B, they may choose from C-D or E-F. All stages of the championship are free of charge.

The super final will occur in October 2025 at the Sirius University. The venue was selected through a competition, with five submissions from regional universities. The top teams from division A-B will compete in the super final, which will include challenging algorithmic programming problems. The event will also feature an IT festival. Prior to the finals, training camps will be held from June 20-29, 2025, at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Dolgoprudny. Only team members nominated for the International School Olympiad in Informatics representing Russia, BRICS countries, the CIS, and other friendly nations can attend.

Participants in the championship will receive electronic certificates. Finalists will be given welcome kits at in-person venues. Super final winners and runners-up will receive diplomas, cash prizes, gifts, gadgets, and smart devices. Participating in the championship will provide knowledge, skills, experience, and opportunities from companies, along with enhancing one’s portfolio and connecting with the IT community.
