Diddy Faces 20 Years Behind Bars Following Conviction for Human Trafficking Charges

The publication Deadline reported that rapper P Diddy (Sean Combs) has been found guilty of transporting individuals for the purpose of coercing them into prostitution. The recent court hearing took place on July 2 in New York.

The jury convicted the musician on two counts, and he now faces a potential sentence of 20 years in prison. Charges of sex trafficking and operating a criminal enterprise have been dropped against him. Some of the offenses he was originally accused of could have resulted in a life sentence.

A total of 34 witnesses testified against Combs on five separate charges. The rapper maintains his innocence on all counts. His attorneys have filed a motion for his release pending sentencing, with bail set at $1 million.

Additionally, it was previously reported that some charges against P Diddy were dropped, including those related to the arson of rapper Kid Cudi’s Porsche and the kidnapping of his assistant, Capricorn Clark.
