New Jersey Extends Jake Allens Contract for Five More Years

The New Jersey Devils have extended their contract with goaltender **Jake Allen**. According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, the new deal is for five years and carries a cap hit of $1.8 million.

The 34-year-old netminder played 31 games last season, achieving 13 victories with a save percentage of 90.8%. Overall, he has participated in 460 NHL games, securing 208 wins with the same save percentage of 90.8%.

Allen won the Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues in 2019 while serving as a backup goalie. He has also played for the Montreal Canadiens. On October 14, he achieved a shutout against the Utah Mammoths, becoming the first goaltender in NHL history to earn victories against 33 different teams in the league.
