Trump Unveils $499 Gold Smartphone and New Mobile Operator T1 Mobile

On June 16, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the launch of a new mobile operator called T1 Mobile, which will operate under the brand name Trump Mobile. The service aims to provide affordable 5G connectivity. The project is being managed by Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. On the same day, they also unveiled a new smartphone dubbed the T1 Phone, which they claim to be the «most American» phone.

T1 Mobile offers a plan named «The 47 Plan» for $47.45 per month, referencing Trump as the 47th President of the United States. This plan includes unlimited calls, texts, and internet, as well as device security, 24/7 roadside assistance, telemedicine services, and prescription delivery, along with free calls to 100 countries—all without contracts or credit checks.

The company promises round-the-clock customer support with live representatives located in the U.S. Trump Mobile claims it utilizes the largest 5G network in the nation.

The T1 Phone is set to hit the market in September 2025, priced at $499. The device features a gold-colored exterior and an engraved back showcasing the U.S. flag. It comes with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main camera, fingerprint scanning, and facial recognition capabilities. However, users on the internet have noticed numerous errors on the official website, such as a misleading specification indicating that the camera is 5000 mAh, along with swapped sections for «RAM» and «storage.» At the time of writing, the processor for the «Trump phone» has not been disclosed.

The manufacturer of the T1 Phone claims that the smartphone is designed and assembled in the United States. However, online users found through U.S. databases that the components are sourced from China:

— Assembly and circuit board: Foxconn and FIH Mobile – Shenzhen
— Display: BOE Technology – Hefei
— Components: Luxshare – Dongguan
— Microphones and speakers: Goertek – Weifang
— Battery: BYD – Shenzhen
