Chesnokov Anticipates Strong Grass Season Performance from Medvedev

The former world No. 9 in singles, **[Andrei Chesnokov](https://example.com)**, believes that Russian tennis player **Daniil Medvedev** has a solid chance during the grass-court season.

«Medvedev knows how to perform on grass. He has reached the Wimbledon semifinals two years in a row, but his results this season have been less impressive. I hope that as we move to faster courts, he will regain his form. It’s not a big deal that he lost in the second match last week. He faced an opponent with a serve that makes it very difficult to respond, and serving plays a crucial role on grass. He lost two tiebreaks, so everything is still okay; the upcoming tournaments will reveal his true level,» Chesnokov said in an interview with TASS.

It’s worth noting that this season, Russian players Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev have fallen out of the ATP top 10 for the first time in a long while.
