ATRONIK MCP303: Versatile PC/104-Plus Embedded Single Board Computer for Legacy x86 Applications

To address the challenges associated with the replication of devices based on x86 technologies and legacy operating systems, NPK «ATRONIK» has introduced an embedded single-board computer that adheres to the PC/104-Plus standard – the module MTSP303.

This innovative product is designed for use in critical onboard systems that require low power consumption and the ability to operate across a wide temperature range. The architecture of the MTSP303 is built around the Vortex86 DX3 central processor (800 MHz) with an x86 architecture.

The MTSP303 is fully compatible with PC/104, PCI/104, and PC/104-Plus expansion modules, enabling data exchange both through a 32-bit PCI bus and a 16-bit ISA bus, while also allowing installation within PC/104-Plus enclosures.

All core components, including the CPU, RAM (2 GB), ROM (64 GB), and peripheral controllers, are soldered directly onto the board, which ensures reliable operation in environments subjected to high shock and vibration loads and enhances the efficiency of the moisture-resistant coating.

The MTSP303 provides extensive options for monitor connectivity for information display. System developers can utilize either the standard VGA interface or a 24-bit LVDS interface with resolutions up to 1920×1440. Both interfaces can be used simultaneously to show the same information on different monitors.

For connecting external data storage sources, SATA interfaces (via onboard connectors) or IDE (Compact Flash card) can be employed.

The MTSP303 module features independent Gigabit and Fast Ethernet ports, four COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and 8 lines for programmable discrete input/output, along with legacy interfaces such as LPT and PS/2.

The system monitoring functionality includes three watchdog timers, an opto-isolated reset, real-time clocks, and the ability to save BIOS settings, system configurations, and emergency parameters in non-volatile FRAM memory.

The MTSP303 supports a wide range of operating systems, including MS DOS, QNX, Windows, RTOS32, and Linux. The operational temperature range of the module extends from -40º to +85ºC without forced cooling.
