Goalkeeper Torop Dodges Captaincy Question: Very Provocative!

The goalkeeper of Moscow’s CSKA, **Vladislav Torop**, who has signed a new contract with the club extending until the summer of 2030, dodged the question about the captaincy role within the team.

**— Do you see yourself becoming the captain of PFC CSKA in the future?**
— That’s a very provocative question! I won’t answer that. (Smiles.) To be honest, I haven’t thought about it. Time will tell, — said Torop, according to the official CSKA website.

In the previous season, Vladislav Torop played 13 matches for CSKA, two of which were in the Russian Premier League. The goalkeeper conceded five goals while managing to keep a clean sheet in nine of those games. The 39-year-old captain of CSKA, Igor Akinfeev, has been with the red-blues since 2003 and remains the club’s main goalkeeper.
