Character.AI Unveils AvatarFX: A Game-Changer in AI-Generated Video Content

The platform for interacting with AI characters, Character.AI, has recently **announced** the launch of a series of multimedia features utilizing artificial intelligence.

AvatarFX is a new tool designed for generating video content. Users can upload a reference photo, select a voice, and set a script for the character. The service allows the creation of up to five videos per day.

Additionally, users have the option to upload an audio file to fine-tune the voice.

This tool began its gradual rollout in May and is now accessible to everyone.

The platform restricts the creation of characters based on real individuals, modifying them to make them less recognizable.

“Character.AI started as a one-on-one text chat, and today we are evolving to offer much more inspired by what our users have told us and their desires for the platform,” the company stated in a notice.

Created works can be transformed into Scenes—scripts in which characters are «embedded» to continue stories initiated by other users. This feature is available in the mobile app.

Streams is another new feature that allows for the creation of “dynamic scenes between two characters” and will be available soon in both the web version and on mobile devices.

Both formats can be shared in a new social feed.
