Steam Deck Now Features Native GeForce NOW App for Enhanced Game Streaming

Nvidia has launched a beta version of the GeForce NOW app for Steam Deck, enabling users to stream games directly without the need for a browser. The company first announced the development of the app at CES earlier this year, and it is now available for all interested players.

The application allows for game streaming in resolutions up to 4K at 60 frames per second (depending on subscription level), whether on the device itself or through a connection to a TV. As with GeForce NOW on other platforms, it supports Nvidia HDR10, DLSS 4, and Reflex technology.

According to Nvidia, Steam Deck users can utilize GeForce NOW to run games with graphics settings that are not originally supported by the device. Additionally, battery life while streaming via the cloud is reported to extend by 50% compared to running games locally.

GeForce NOW offers access to over 2200 games from various platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft, Battle.net, and Xbox Game Pass. This week, six new titles have been added to the list: Nice Day for Fishing, Cash Cleaner Simulator, Tokyo Xtreme Racer, The Last Spell, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, and Torque Drift 2.

The beta version of GeForce NOW for Steam Deck can be downloaded from the official app portal. When downloading, users should select Steam Deck under the category of portable gaming devices.
