Mirra Andreyeva on Doubles: Embracing the Challenges to Enhance My Skills

The sixth-ranked tennis player in the world, Russian athlete **[Mira Andreeva](https://www.wtatennis.com/player/34175/mira-andreeva)**, shared how playing doubles enhances her skills.

«I feel that competing in doubles significantly improves my game. In a way, I become more aware of what I need to focus on to improve, and I gradually become more comfortable at the net. This confidence helps me tackle some of the challenging shots when I play singles. I definitely believe that playing in pairs benefits me, although I have faced some challenges with scheduling. If I decide to participate in both formats, I need to be prepared. Playing doubles involves risks that I am willing to take, and I enjoy it. Until now, I have only played doubles at major tournaments, including WTA 1000 events and Grand Slams,» Andreeva told Punto de Break.

At the 2025 French Open, Mira Andreeva will team up with Diana Schneider for the doubles competition. The two Russian players previously won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics and claimed titles at the tournaments in Brisbane and Miami.
