Gazzaev Praises Nikolics First Season at CSKA as Positive Achievement

The former head coach of Moscow’s CSKA, **Valery Gazzaev**, assessed the performance of the team under the guidance of Serbian specialist **Marko Nikolic**, which led to the red-blues earning bronze medals in the Russian Premier League 2024/2025 season.

«Since the beginning of the second phase of the Russian championship, CSKA has been showcasing a high level of football. During their training camp prior to this phase, they changed their formation. The team exhibits strong connections on the field. I am confident that CSKA will win the cup final. Thus, Nikolic’s first season with the team can be regarded as a success,» Gazzaev said in an interview with Championship correspondent Maria Kutsubeva.

Marko Nikolic has been managing CSKA since the summer of last year. In the recently concluded season, the club accumulated 59 points and finished third in the league standings, earning bronze medals. On Sunday, June 1, CSKA will face Rostov in the Super Final of the Fonbet Russian Cup.
