Svitolina Advances to WTA-1000 Rome Round of 16, Set to Face Collins

The 14th-ranked Ukrainian tennis player, Elina Svitolina, has advanced to the fourth round of the WTA 1000 clay tournament in Rome, Italy. In the third round, she defeated American player Hailey Baptiste with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

The match lasted for 2 hours and 37 minutes. During the match, Svitolina made three aces, committed eight double faults, and converted 5 of the 10 break points she earned. On the other hand, Baptiste recorded three aces, six double faults, and successfully converted 5 out of 18 break points.

Svitolina will compete against American player Danielle Collins in the quarter-finals, who triumphed over Iga Swiatek in the third round with a score of 6-1, 7-5.

The tournament in Rome is taking place from May 6 to May 17. The current champion of the event is Iga Swiatek.
