Reimagined Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition Launches Without VR Requirement

The independent studio Survios has released a trailer announcing Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, an updated version of the controversial horror shooter Alien: Rogue Incursion, which debuted late last year for virtual reality headsets including SteamVR, PlayStation VR2, and Quest 3. One of the key features of this re-release is the inclusion of gameplay outside of the VR headset.

The narrative follows Zula Hendricks, a former Marine, who receives a distress signal from a comrade. Accompanied by the android Davis-01, she embarks on a rescue mission, only to face treacherous and deadly xenomorphs upon her arrival. An important gameplay mechanic revolves around sound—making noise increases the likelihood of attracting unwanted attention from aliens.

The developers have emphasized that this is merely the first installment of a planned duology. While it will present a complete story, it is designed to «keep players on edge and eager for the continuation of Zula’s journey in the second part, where she will encounter new challenges and more lethal foes.»

Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition is set to launch on September 30 for PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, featuring Russian text localization.
