Samsung Smartphones Limit Users to 100 Alarms: A Curious Resurgence from 50

A Reddit user reported that Samsung smartphones allow users to set a maximum of 100 alarms on a single device. For instance, on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, creating a 101st alarm will result in the system notifying the user that all alarm slots are occupied. This limit also applies to the new Galaxy S25 Ultra.

According to experts from Android Authority explained that in 2019, the maximum number of alarms was only 50. For reasons that are unclear, Samsung doubled this accessible alarm limit for users.

No official explanation has been provided for this restriction. While 100 alarms may seem excessive, some users with irregular schedules or specific requirements might find this limit inconvenient.

One theory suggests that the increase to 100 alarms relates to voice assistants like Gemini, which tend to add new alarms instead of modifying existing ones. This behavior could quickly deplete the limit when frequently used.

Experts recommend that Samsung smartphone users periodically review their list of set alarms and delete those that are no longer needed, thus freeing up space for new ones.
