Insomniac Confirms Marvels Wolverine is in Development, but News is Still Under Wraps

**Insomniac Games** has reminded fans that **Marvel’s Wolverine** is currently under active development, though the studio is not yet ready to provide specific details. This clarification came in response to a comment from a user expressing frustration.

The discussion began with the studio’s post about the patch notes for the PC port of **Marvel’s Spider-Man 2**. A user named @jogurtflorian commented: “*Nothing for PS5. No news on Wolverine. Ignoring everyone. Such a wonderful team.*”

**Insomniac** did not leave the comment unaddressed:

«We’re actively working on Marvel’s Wolverine for PS5. We’ll share news about the game when *we* are ready to share it. That will always be our response. We can’t act on every request when the development takes time, resources, and approval to share updates.»

The announcement for **Wolverine** was made back in 2021, and since then, the game has been surrounded by rumors, but official updates have been scarce. **Leaked documents from Insomniac Games** suggested that the release could occur closer to the end of 2026.

The game will take place in several locations, including Alaska, Canada, Japan, and the island nation of **Madripoor**. Iconic characters from the comics, such as Sabretooth, Mister Sinister, Jean Grey, and Mystique, will appear in the game. The main protagonist will be voiced by **Liam McIntyre**. At one point in development, the game was planned to include 34 missions, with a total playtime of around 16 hours.
