CZ Joins Forces with Kyrgyz Government to Drive Cryptocurrency Innovation and Blockchain Development

The founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), has become a consultant to the Kyrgyz government on matters related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

The entrepreneur signed a memorandum of cooperation with the country’s National Investment Agency.

CZ reported that he provides advice to governments across various jurisdictions regarding the regulation of digital assets, the implementation of blockchain, and enhancing the efficiency of government structures. He emphasized that this work is «extremely significant.»

According to a statement from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, the collaboration with the Binance founder aims to establish technological infrastructure, improve cybersecurity, and train specialists in blockchain and cryptocurrency management.

The head of state pointed out that this partnership should accelerate economic development and create new opportunities for both businesses and society.

Malaysia has also sought CZ’s advice on cryptocurrencies; Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim met with him in January.

It is worth noting that on March 10, the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers increased the requirements for the minimum charter capital of cryptocurrency exchanges from 100 million to 10 billion soms (from $1.14 million to $114.3 million).
