Wildberries and Russ Launch WB Pay: A New Payment Solution for Online Shopping

The merged entity of the Wildberries marketplace and the outdoor advertising operator Russ has **launched** a new payment service called WB Pay. This service will facilitate payments for purchases made on third-party websites and applications.

The «Wildberries Bank» will handle the technical and payment infrastructure for WB Pay. The companies aim to introduce the service in offline settings. Currently, WB Pay is being tested on the websites of several partners, and it will soon be available across a wider array of applications and platforms.

To confirm payments and link their accounts to WB Pay, users need to authenticate themselves through the Wildberries mobile app. Representatives of the service have assured that WB Pay does not share payment or other user data with online retailers.

In the future, WB Pay will also allow users to make payments at physical stores using their smartphones.

Wildberries and Russ **merged** in August of last year. The marketplace rebranded its legal entity name from LLC «Wildberries» to LLC «RVB.» The joint venture was named RVB, with assurances that there would be no changes to Wildberries’ operations. LLC «Wildberries» holds a 65% stake in RVB, while LLC «Stinn» owns 35%.

By the end of 2024, RVB **announced** the acquisition of an office building under construction in «Moscow-City» to establish its headquarters.
