Leaked Screenshots Reveal Early Look at Respawn and Bit Reactors Star Wars Tactical Strategy Game

Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor, which is comprised of veterans from Firaxis Games, are set to unveil their turn-based tactical game based on the Star Wars franchise. While this reveal is still three weeks away, a carefree staff member at Bit Reactor has inadvertently provided us with a glimpse of what to expect from the title.

Screenshots of Star Wars: Bruno were shared by the site MP1st, which found the images in the portfolio of one of Bit Reactor‘s artists. The images are dated to mid-2023 but may have been created even earlier. Regardless, they depict an early version of the game, and its final appearance may differ, though the core gameplay mechanics are unlikely to change significantly.

The screenshots showcase battle scenes between stormtroopers and Mandalorians along with a droid. Interface hints indicate that characters can perform actions like throwing thermal detonators. Overall, the visual style of Bruno appears reminiscent of XCOM games by Firaxis. Additionally, we can spot Bo-Katan Kryze participating in the combat. It’s possible that this tactical strategy takes place during the Clone Wars era.

We’ll learn more about Star Wars: Bruno on April 19. The game will receive an entire hour of spotlight during the Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo.
