Star Atlas Integrates AI Agents for an Immersive Gaming Experience on Solana

The upcoming science fiction game built on the Solana blockchain, Star Atlas, aims to incorporate AI agents into its online space universe. To achieve this goal, the project is collaborating with [SingularityNET](https://forklog.com/news/ai/soobshhestva-singularitynet-fetch-ai-i-ocean-protocol-podderzhali-sliyanie-tokenov).

The game’s developer, ATMTA, stated that the primary focus of this collaboration is to integrate AI agents that will enhance the gaming experience. They plan to use the Autonomous Intelligent Reinforcement Interpretable Symbolics (AIRIS) system from SingularityNET, along with the OpenCog Hyperon framework. These technologies are intended to facilitate the development of adaptive AI-based characters and NPCs that evolve alongside the players.

Michael Wagner, co-founder and CEO of ATMTA, commented, “The integration of advanced artificial intelligence is about crafting the most thrilling aspects of world-building and fostering player engagement within our dynamic, decentralized ecosystem.”

OpenCog Hyperon is an open-source AI framework created by SingularityNET to replicate human-like thought processes through learning, memory, and reasoning based on experience.

AIRIS is an AI system that learns through its interactions with the environment, allowing it to independently tackle challenges without pre-programmed instructions.

Star Atlas is a role-playing game on the blockchain that revolves around space exploration in the distant future. Its pre-alpha version, Showroom, was added to the Epic Games Store in 2022. The following year saw the launch of the browser-based game Star Atlas Golden Era, which is part of the larger Star Atlas universe. A full release is anticipated in the future.

Wagner emphasized the necessity of integrating cutting-edge technologies like AI agents to improve player engagement and scalability as the product evolves.

“Imagine AI agents working alongside players, providing support when they enter the game, engaging in quests, building a thriving economy, and expanding the vast worlds and ways to personalize Star Atlas,” he remarked.

It is worth noting that in November 2024, SingularityNET and ASI Alliance [launched](https://forklog.com/news/ai/ii-alyans-integriroval-samoobuchayushhijsya-proto-agi-v-minecraft) the «first self-learning proto-AGI in Minecraft.»

In the same month, the organization [teamed up](https://forklog.com/news/ai/singularitynet-i-mina-sozdadut-detsentralizovannuyu-ii-ekosistemu) with Mina Foundation to further the development of decentralized artificial intelligence using zero-knowledge proof technology.
