Web3 Project Harpie Shuts Down as Business Model Fails

The Web3 project Harpie, backed by Dragonfly and Coinbase, has announced its complete shutdown.

In an official statement, the team expressed their mission to build an ecosystem that safeguards crypto assets from theft. However, the platform was unable to establish a sustainable business model.

Users are advised to disconnect their wallets from Harpie’s RPC in the network settings. Representatives from the platform noted that a tool for withdrawing assets stored within the system will be available on the website in the coming days.

Harpie will also honor commitments regarding its promotional activities and referral reward programs. Users can keep up with updates through the official Discord community of the project.

As a reminder, in July 2024, the trading protocol ZKX, built on StarkNet, also shut down due to economic challenges just a month and a half after its airdrop.
