Ukrainian Drone Assaults Leave Six Injured in Russia Amid Rising Tensions

On Tuesday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had neutralized 46 Ukrainian drones during overnight operations, while local officials reported that six individuals sustained injuries.

The military indicated that the drones were either «destroyed or intercepted» over the Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, which lie close to Ukraine’s border, as well as in Orlov.

In Belgorod city, a man suffered serious injuries due to debris from a downed drone, according to the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Meanwhile, in Kursk, five people were injured when drones targeted an area near a truck carrying bread, Acting Governor Alexander Khinstein shared on Telegram.

These drone strikes occurred just before a scheduled phone call between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump, where the two leaders are anticipated to discuss a proposed ceasefire in Ukraine.
