Strategy Makes Historic Low Bitcoin Purchase of Just 130 BTC

The company Strategy (formerly known as MicroStrategy) announced the acquisition of 130 BTC for $10.7 million, marking its smallest transaction ever.

The price per coin was set at $82,981.

This purchase was funded through an ATM program aimed at raising up to $21 billion for further investments in digital gold.

With this latest acquisition, Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings have reached 499,226 BTC, purchased for a total of $33.1 billion, resulting in an average cost of about $66,360 per coin.

Following the market open on March 17, the company’s stock (MSTR) saw a decline of 2.60%, dropping to $289.7, according to MarketWatch.

As a reminder, on February 24, Strategy acquired 20,356 BTC for $1.99 billion at a rate of $97,514 per coin.
