Zynga Announces the Shutdown of Star Wars: Hunters Amidst Development Struggles and Canceled PC Release

Last summer, Zynga launched Star Wars: Hunters, a new free-to-play competitive action game set in the Star Wars universe, developed by NaturalMotion. Unfortunately, it appears that the game did not meet expectations, leading to the decision to shut it down less than a year after its release.

Prior to its closure, the developers had prepared a brief list of final activities:

Star Wars: Hunters faced challenges throughout its development cycle. Initially, the title was slated for release in 2021, but due to several delays, it eventually launched in mid-2024 on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. A PC version for Steam was supposed to come out a few months ago, but that never materialized and has now been officially canceled.
