New Mini-Computers for Neural Networks Launched by Rostecs Roselectronics

The holding company «Roselectronica,» which is part of the State Corporation «Rostec,» has initiated the production of the processor module «Fisht.» This innovative solution was developed by the domestic design bureau «Marathon.» It stands out as a unique mini-computer for the Russian market, designed to work with neural networks, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The manufacturing facilities have the capacity to produce up to 120,000 units annually.

The «Fisht» operates on two Russian operating systems—Astra Linux and the real-time operating system «Neutrino.» Its applications span across various fields, including medicine, industrial automation, and digital twins. It has already been demonstrated that the module aids in recognizing low-flying objects in electronic warfare systems, processing real-time data in oil fields, and modernizing outdated equipment.

The developers believe that this new mini-computer will replace imported alternatives such as Radxa, Vortex, Forlinx, iCore, and Advantech. Production is fully localized at the Rybinsk Instrument-Making Plant, which is part of «Roselectronica.»

The «Fisht» is a System-on-Module (SoM) processor module that integrates three microprocessors onto a single board. According to the developers, this new solution facilitates the deployment of neural networks, machine learning, and automation across a wide range of sectors.

Device specifications include:

— Central processor: Rockchip RK3568J (4 Cortex-A55 cores), enabling the implementation of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT);
— Neural coprocessor (Cortex-M4 coprocessor) integrated within the main chip, supporting the execution of neural networks and machine learning algorithms;
— Real-time coprocessor: STM32G474CEU6, which supports neural network algorithms and additional I/O;
— Performance: 1 TOPs;
— CAN and CAN FD: 3 channels, including one that supports CAN FD, with data transmission up to 5 times faster than standard CAN;
— Interfaces: 1 Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.0;
— Memory: 8 GB RAM, 8 GB eMMC Flash, and 2 GB SPI Flash.

According to «Roselectronica,» the module is expected to be included in the registry of Russian radio-electronic products by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the near future.
