The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia has declared the activities of the cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBit, along with its affiliated and subsidiary organizations, as undesirable within the country’s borders.

«This European cryptocurrency trading platform is being utilized by various crypto exchanges and exchange services to execute different types of ‘grey’ schemes for withdrawing funds from Russia, as well as engaging in other illegal activities,» states the agency’s website.

At the time of this writing, the exchange has not issued any public comments.

WhiteBit was established in 2018 by entrepreneur Vladimir Nosov and is registered in Lithuania.

Recall that in April 2025, Roskomnadzor blocked the domains of the crypto exchange aggregator BestChange.
