Meta приобретает Manus: ИИ-стартап с инновационными решениями для бизнеса Translation: Meta acquires Manus: AI startup with innovative solutions for business

Meta has **signed an agreement** to acquire the startup Manus, with the deal valued at over $2 billion, as reported by the **WSJ** citing its sources.

Manus is focused on developing general-purpose autonomous AI agents capable of independently tackling complex tasks such as market research, coding, and data analysis. This technology serves as a bridge, translating the capabilities of language models into specific workflows.

According to reports, Manus will continue to function as an independent service following the acquisition. Subscription services and access for existing clients will remain unchanged. Concurrently, Meta is expected to integrate the startup’s technologies into its products for businesses and consumers, including Meta AI.

The report indicates that Manus CEO Xiao Hong will report to Meta’s **COO** Javier Olivan, while the project’s headquarters will stay in Singapore.

In April, the company **secured** $75 million in funding led by the venture firm Benchmark. By December, Manus **reported** reaching an annual revenue of $100 million just eight months after its launch.

Since its inception, the platform has processed over 147 trillion tokens and created more than 80 million virtual computers.

The parent company, Butterfly Effect, was established in 2022 and initially based in China. Later, the team relocated its headquarters to Singapore to collaborate with American investors and technologies. The startup has abandoned plans to launch a version of its product for the Chinese market.

To recall, in June, Manus **introduced** a feature that allows the creation of videos from text prompts.
