Смартфоны Xiaomi получат доступ к Sei Wallet: новая эра криптовалютного взаимодействия Headline: Xiaomi smartphones to gain access to Sei Wallet: a new era of cryptocurrency interaction

Starting from 2026, Sei Wallet will be pre-installed on Xiaomi smartphones outside of China and the USA. The company produces 168 million new devices annually.

The initiative will first be rolled out in regions with relatively high levels of cryptocurrency adoption, including Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa, where Xiaomi has a substantial market presence.

*“By integrating Sei’s high-performance infrastructure directly into one of the world’s most popular mobile device ecosystems, we are not just addressing onboarding challenges — we are reimagining how billions of users will engage with digital assets in their daily lives,” commented Jeff Fang, co-founder of Sei Labs.*

The wallet application will utilize Google and Xiaomi IDs for simplified login, incorporate built-in MPC protection, and provide access to selected decentralized applications.

As part of the collaboration, there are plans to implement stablecoin payments «across Xiaomi’s global retail and digital ecosystem.» Users will be able to purchase smartphones and other products from the company using Sei’s native “stablecoins,” such as USDC.

The launch of this functionality is expected in the second quarter of 2026, initially targeting Hong Kong and the EU.

*“We are moving from a world where cryptocurrency needs to be sought after to a world where it finds you. With finalization in under 400 milliseconds and the capability to process thousands of transactions per second, Sei’s infrastructure is uniquely equipped to meet the demands of mass-market consumer applications,” added Jay Jog, co-founder of Sei Labs.*

Following this announcement, the native token of the blockchain — SEI — saw a 2.4% increase in value. At the time of writing, the asset is trading around $0.14.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that in August, the Web3 wallet MetaMask integrated support for Sei’s L1 network.
