Trump Organization Seeks Trademark for Ambitious Virtual World Dedicated to the Former President

The Trump Organization, led by Donald Trump, has filed for a trademark application for the name TRUMP aimed at a proposed metaverse dedicated to the former U.S. president. This information was reported by the law firm Gerben IP on their blog.

The application encompasses a wide range of product and service categories intended for the planned platform.

It includes options for purchasing virtual clothing and various other items, educational spaces for business training, as well as a dedicated NFT marketplace.

Only content approved by Trump will be allowed on the platform, and this restriction also applies to non-fungible tokens.

Josh Gerben from Gerben IP remarked on the irony of the situation, noting that the Trump Organization is requesting patent office officials to evaluate their application while the current administration is applying pressure on these individuals, threatening them with termination.

As of the time of writing, the application is pending review.

Additionally, it is worth noting that in November, Trump connected the cryptocurrency Bitcoin reaching an all-time high with his political actions.
