Russia Claims Control of Two More Villages in Eastern Ukraine Amid Ongoing Strikes

On Saturday, Moscow announced the capture of two additional villages in eastern Ukraine, while officials in Kyiv reported that Russian attacks resulted in one death and 19 injuries.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its troops had taken control of Skudne and Burlatske located in the southern part of the eastern Donetsk region, near the town of Velyka Novossilka, which fell to Russian forces in late January.

The Ukrainian Air Force indicated that Russia had launched 154 drones overnight, with 103 being intercepted; however, 51 drones disappeared from radar without inflicting any damage or injuries.

Nonetheless, Ukrainian regional officials confirmed one fatality and multiple injuries. In the southern Odesa region, one person lost their life, and three others were hurt, according to Ukrainian prosecutors.

Local authorities reported twelve injuries in the northeastern Kharkiv region and two more in the southern Kherson region. Additionally, two individuals were injured in Pokrovsk, a crucial rail and mining center where Russian forces are making advances, posing a threat to this essential logistical hub for Ukrainian troops.
