On October 30, the ICO for the Layer 2 solution MegaETH concluded. The project managed to raise a total of $1.39 billion during the token sale, attracting more than 27 times its original goal.

MegaETH enabled participants to place bids even after the token reached its peak clearing price of $0.0999.

The minimum bid amount started at $2,650 and capped at $186,282 per user. According to their website, over 50,000 participants submitted applications.

The project team announced that they would begin automatically refunding investors from the ICO whose bids were placed at a rate below $0.0999.

Users who entered at the highest values will be considered for allocation. MegaETH will analyze the applications until November 5.

The amount wagered on Polymarket regarding the results of the token sale has nearly reached $60 million. At the time of writing, 99% of participants believe that the final amount of raised funds will exceed $1 billion.

Recall, in March, the developers of MegaETH launched a public testnet with a claimed throughput of 20,000 TPS (transactions per second).
