The design platform Figma has announced a partnership with Google to integrate new AI-powered features.

Previously, the platform had already launched its own AI tools for application development. Now, several models from Gemini will be incorporated into the software to «meet the evolving needs of product designers and their teams.»

As part of this collaboration, Figma will include Gemini 2.5 Flash, Gemini 2.0, and Imagen 4.

Gemini 2.5 Flash will facilitate image editing and generation. This will allow the platform’s 13 million active users to create AI-generated illustrations using text prompts and make modifications to them each month.

The company claims that this update will streamline workflows: during testing, users reported a 50% reduction in latency for the Make Image feature.

The announcement of the partnership coincided with the release of Gemini Enterprise, Google’s corporate AI platform aimed at integrating AI into business processes.

This solution will enable interactions with company documents, data, and applications in a conversational format. Developers will be able to create and deploy AI agents or use pre-existing solutions.

Google highlighted that 65% of Google Cloud customers are already leveraging its AI products. Additionally, it announced new partnerships with GAP, Gordon Foods, Klarna, Macquarie Bank, Melexis, Mercedes, Signal Iduna, Valiuz, and Virgin Voyages. These firms join Banco BV, Behr, Box, DBS Bank, Deloitte, Deutsche Telekom, FairPrice Group, the U.S. Department of Energy, and others that utilize Gemini.

Recall that in October, OpenAI introduced a new feature that allows users to create applications directly within ChatGPT. Now, users can interact with services like Booking.com, Expedia, Spotify, Figma, Coursera, Zillow, Canva, and more directly.
