Serooukh on Sochis Drive: Players Ambition to Score High for Future Prospects

The forward of «Sochi,» **[Daniil Seroukh](https://www.example.com/tags/43562-daniil-serouh/)**, discussed what motivates the players of the southern club the most.

«Every player on the team is eager to step onto the ice and win every game. Everyone is highly motivated, even though there are only ten matches left; on the contrary, it’s crucial for everyone to showcase their talents at the end of the regular season. This also has an eye toward the future—some players want to be noticed and possibly invited to another team, or to stay with ‘Sochi’ but under different terms. Everyone is determined to prove their worth in hockey, with no mindset of just finishing the season because vacation is approaching.

This year, we have the youngest team in the league, and perhaps this impacts us—a lack of experience. Everyone is putting in the effort, and there’s a strong desire to win. Indifference is definitely not an issue. However, things aren’t coming together as we’d like. Belief in the team never fades. Yes, everyone wants to accumulate more points—considering our overall standings, that’s certainly true. It’s also about improving individual performance and, in turn, helping the team.

Everything is interconnected. There’s no mindset of just going on the ice to score points while neglecting defensive duties. I don’t see that kind of attitude from anyone; everyone is committed to playing hard both in defense and offense. There are no exceptions here,» Seroukh shared in an interview with Championship correspondent Rustam Imamov.
