A prominent token holder of HYPE from the DEX Hyperliquid has secured a profit of $148.63 million through asset sales, as noted by analysts at Lookonchain.

An unnamed investor sold 4.99 million HYPE for a total of $228.76 million, with an average selling price of $45.82.

This investor had previously purchased 5.07 million HYPE in January 2025 at a price of $16.23. After the transaction, the investor’s wallet still holds 77,089 tokens valued at $3.37 million.

At the time of writing, the coin is trading at $44.6 according to CoinGecko. The asset’s price has dropped by 5.2% in the last 24 hours and by 6.3% over the past week.

The market capitalization of the token stands at $12 billion, with a trading volume of $558.5 million in the last 24 hours.

It is worth noting that ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood has compared Hyperliquid to “early Solana.”
