The overall market capitalization of stablecoins has surpassed $300 billion. Leading the pack is Tether’s USDT with a valuation exceeding $174 billion. Following closely is Circle’s USDC, holding $73.5 billion.

In the past 90 days, the net influx of funds into this segment has exceeded $46 billion, reflecting a rising demand. According to RWA.xyz, USDT emerged as the frontrunner for inflows in the last quarter, with an influx of $19.6 billion. USDC and USDe follow in second and third place, with inflows of $12.3 billion and $9 billion, respectively.

Smaller yet notable inflows were recorded for PayPal’s PYUSD, which attracted $1.4 billion, and MakerDAO’s USDS, with $1.3 billion.

As reported by Defi Llama, Tether continues to dominate the market with a share of nearly 59%.

Its closest rival, Circle, accounts for about 25% of the market. USDe has nearly 5%.

Ethereum maintains its position as the primary network for stablecoins, hosting assets valued at $171 billion. TRON follows with $76 billion. In total, networks like Solana, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain have around $29.7 billion in stablecoin assets.

According to RWA.xyz, the number of active addresses has decreased by 22.6%, now totaling 26 million. Furthermore, the volume of transfers has fallen by 11%, amounting to $3.17 trillion.

In September, analysts from Moody’s pointed out the risks associated with the surge of stablecoins for monetary sovereignty and financial stability.
