Ходлеры продолжают накапливать биткоины, поднимая запасы до рекорда в 14,3 миллиона BTC Translation: Holders continue to accumulate bitcoins, boosting reserves to a record of 14.3 million BTC.

The proportion of Bitcoin held by holders for over seven years has reached a historic high of 14.3 million BTC, according to data from Glassnode.

Since the beginning of the year, this figure has increased by 422,430 BTC.

This metric reflects the assets of investors who prefer to hold onto Bitcoin for the long term instead of trading it, thereby reducing the liquid supply on exchanges. The consistent accumulation trend from such players (LTH) signals a growing confidence in the outlook for the first cryptocurrency.

According to Fidelity, LTHs and corporate treasuries may withdraw over 6 million BTC from circulation by 2025, which would further intensify the scarcity and potentially support the price of digital gold.

The company highlights that the share of Bitcoin held by holders has been steadily increasing since 2016. The volume of coins on the balances of public companies holding at least 1,000 BTC has also been consistently rising since 2020.

«We project that this combined group will possess more than 6 million BTC by the end of 2025 — or over 28% of the 21 million BTC that will ever exist,» the analysts emphasized.

The total reserves of the first cryptocurrency held by corporations and in the possession of ETFs have increased by 30% since the start of the year — rising from 2.24 million BTC to the current 2.88 million BTC.

This growth reflects an ongoing concentration of digital gold supply among institutional and other large players.

Whales and «sharks» are accumulating coins at record rates — approximately 300% of the annual issuance volume. Meanwhile, reserves of the first cryptocurrency on exchanges are rapidly declining — the metric has reached -150%.

The current situation indicates a rising interest in self-custodial (non-custodial) storage of crypto assets and long-term investment strategies.

It’s worth noting that researcher Axel Adler has estimated a 70% chance that Bitcoin will reach its historical peak within the next two weeks.
