Аналитики Citi предсказывают Ethereum возможное падение до $4300: факторы и прогнозы Translation: Analysts at Citi predict Ethereum may decline to $4300: factors and forecasts

By the year’s end, Ethereum is projected to fall to $4,300, but in a worst-case scenario, it could decline even further. This was stated by analysts from Citi, as reported by CoinDesk.

A significant influence on the price of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is the monetary policy of the United States. Experts highlighted two key objectives:

According to the bank’s analysts, network activity remains a crucial component of Ethereum’s value, although a significant portion of the growth in on-chain metrics has been observed at the second layer, where the «end-to-end» transfer of value to the main blockchain is not fully clear.

Currently, only 30% of the Ethereum valuation is attributed to Layer 2 activity, indicating an inflated price, likely due to strong capital inflows into ETFs and the enthusiasm surrounding tokenization and stablecoins.

Researchers predict a moderation in the dynamics of Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs), as the coin has a lower market capitalization in comparison to Bitcoin and lacks recognition among new investors.

According to SoSoValue, ETH-ETFs attracted $637 million during the past trading week.

Other macroeconomic factors will provide only moderate support. Given that stocks are already close to the target level of 6,600 points for the S&P 500, Citi does not anticipate significant growth in risk assets.

At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading at approximately $4,500, with a weekly gain of 4.5%.

Notably, on September 15, Ethereum celebrated three years since the activation of the The Merge upgrade. Since the hard fork, the cryptocurrency’s price has surged by over 176%.
