ООН и Exponential Science объединяются для создания инновационной академии блокчейна Translation: UN and Exponential Science Join Forces to Create Innovative Blockchain Academy

The Exponential Science Foundation has announced a collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Together, they will establish an academy aimed at assisting governments worldwide in integrating blockchain, artificial intelligence, and other technologies into the public sector.

This new initiative will focus on five key areas:

The training will feature in-person workshops, online courses, and forums specifically tailored to meet the needs of the public sector and local contexts. Each governmental team will receive structured support throughout all stages of the program.

The exact timeline for the launch of the blockchain academy remains unspecified. Reports indicate that initial educational programs will commence in certain countries starting in 2026.

An official announcement of this initiative will take place at the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore, set for October 1-2.

«The government blockchain academy will enable countries to tackle complex development challenges in innovative ways, shifting from experimentation to implementation with a focus on transparency, inclusiveness, and sustainability,» stated Irena Cherovich, head of the UNDP’s innovation department for Europe and Central Asia.

Professor Paolo Tasca, Executive Chairman of Exponential Science, referred to the structure as a «collective plan for public innovation.»

Initial discussions around the establishment of the blockchain academy emerged in 2023 when the agency announced a partnership with the Algorand Foundation. As part of this collaboration, the UNDP aimed to train 22,000 employees from 170 countries in distributed ledger technology.

It is worth noting that in April, the UN expressed concerns about money laundering through mining activities.
